A representative for MARIAH CAREY has shot down reports the star is in talks to turn her life into a new stage musical. The singer/actress was said to be eyeing British star Leona Lewis to play her in the project. An insider revealed, "Not only is she exotic, she's the only one who they reckon would be able to tackle Mariah's eight-octave vocal range."

But Carey's spokesperson is adamant the report is just speculation, telling GossipCop.com the rumour is not true.
