In what has been a busy week in Hollywood, it continues to become more interesting, as yesterday it was reported that teen sensation Justin Bieber dissed Mariah Carey in his new interview with The Sun.
Bieber has been known for keeping a relatively low profile, and this comes as a surprise to many industry insiders because Bieber’s fan base more than likely is not even familiar with Carey’s music.
In his interview, Bieber was quoted as saying “I don’t love her new music, it’s not the same. It’s like Michael Jordan coming back out to play in the NBA. She is past her prime.” A harsh jab at a veteran songstress from a relative newcomer to the seen.
As soon as the interview was first released, the quote made its way around the internet including being all over Twitter and other social networking platforms. Bieber has been denying that he said what was printed in the magazine, claiming that he said nothing that could even be misconstrued to sound the way that it did.
It would make sense that the story is less than factual, given the fact that the two have seemingly no connection, and Bieber has mentioned in previous interviews that he does appreciate her music. It was not immediately clear if the two have spoken, or at least representatives of the two have spoken since the interview that featured Bieber was first leaked onto the net.
In the most recent updates on their website, the remarks were completely removed from the interview. Many have speculated that the author may have gotten a little carried away and manufactured the rumor. I guess the world will have to wait to hear from Bieber himself, who has yet to comment on the story before what happened becomes completely clear.
