American diva Mariah Carey is being lined up to improve The X Factor 2011 final at Wembley Arena next week, it has been claimed. According to The Sun, bosses want the star to sing in a week’s time after Adele pulled out of the show last month.

The British singing sensation had planned to perform but was under doctor’s orders to continue resting after an operation on her throat. “It was always touch and go with Adele, but we were so hoping she’d make it. She’s one of the world’s biggest stars,” a source told the tabloid.
“But now we’re talking to Mariah and hopefully that will come off. “If not, we’re not exactly short of popular acts for fans to enjoy.”Yesterday it was confirmed former X Factor finalists Leona, JLS, One Direction would all feature in the final, alongside Michael Buble and Coldplay.
